The Rock Island Economic Growth Corporation provided an update on the Northside Lofts’ timeline at Monday’s Aledo city council meeting. They’re applying for housing tax credits from the Illinois Housing Development Authority next week. Economic Growth Corporation Vice President Charlotte Flickinger spoke about the application process and the timeline of the project.
Aledo mayor Chris Hagloch says the city is hopeful the application will be successful.
Last year’s application was not approved. If this application is successful, tenants are expected to be able to begin moving in February 2025.
