City of Aledo, Aledo Main Street Offer Financial Support to New and Existing Local Businesses

The City of Aledo and Aledo Main Street are looking to assist local businesses in Aledo with small business grants for lease assistance and business professional services.

The grant opportunities are open to current owners and aspiring entrepreneurs looking to get started, but funds are limited, and some programs expire in June. Aledo Main Street, a nonprofit that organizes community events and promotes economic development in Aledo, is administering grants through two programs.

The Lease Expense Assistance Program (LEAP) is designed to reduce lease expenses for new and existing businesses looking to move to downtown Aledo, covering a portion of lease expenses associated with a new storefront or office space.

The Aledo Business Service Grant Program offers financial assistance for professional services up to $2,000 per business. These services include website development, marketing, engineering and more.

Existing businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs are encouraged to contact Aledo Main Street to learn more about the grant opportunities. The city hopes to attract new businesses downtown and help strengthen local ones with these additional resources.
