Mercer County rallied from ten points down in the second half and then held off Sherrard down the stretch to win in overtime in the semifinals of the Class 2A Sherrard girls regional. After erasing the deficit, the Golden Eagles lead by five in the fourth quarter but the Tigers rallied to send the game into overtime. Rockridge’s season came to a close as they fell to ninth ranked Illini West in the other semi.
