A new attorney has been appointed for a Quad Cities man facing three Class X felony counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child in Mercer County. 34 year old Antonio Cortez Williamson appeared Tuesday in Mercer County Circuit Court for a pre-trial conference. His attorney Jonathan Ruud withdrew from the case with Public Defender Andrew Larson appointed to the matter. Judge Peter Church set the final pre-trial conference for November 9. The Davenport man was arrested in August of last year following an investigation by the New Boston Police Department with assistance from the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department. The case involves one child under the age of 13. Williamson remains in custody at the Mercer County Jail on $250,000 bond.
