A Galesburg man has been charged with a Class 3 felony of aggravated battery to a child in Mercer County. 34 year old Jason Glidden made his initial appearance in Mercer County Circuit Court this morning. A preliminary hearing is set for January 29th. The information filed accuses him of causing bodily harm to a three year old child last month in that he slapped the child “on her buttocks leaving a hand print.” The case was investigated by the Aledo Police Department.
