Mercer County earned a Lincoln Trail Conference win on the road over Princeville 32-6 Friday night. The Princes scored on the first play from scrimmage but after that the Golden Eagles scored 32 unanswered points. Mercer County got two rushing touchdowns from David Meese and two passing touchdowns from Matthew Lucas. The Golden Eagles are 3-3.
Rockridge bounced back this week with a 27-8 win against Morrison Friday night. The Rockets led 13-8 in the first and didn’t score again until the fourth quarter. Brayden Deem led Rockridge to the win, scoring three total touchdowns. Rockridge is 3-3.
Sherrard remained winless with a 60-0 loss to Mendota Friday night.
Orion lost a heartbreaker to Monmouth-Roseville 34-28 Thursday night. The Titans scored with 23 seconds left in the game to take the lead. The Chargers are 2-4 and need to win the rest of their regular season games to make the playoffs.
