The Mercer County Golden Eagle volleyball team under first year head coach Erica Biddle won their season opener on the road at Monmouth-Roseville Wednesday night. The Golden Eagles won in two tightly contested games 27-25 and 25-23. In boys golf, Williamsfield defeated Mercer County and Princeville. The Bombers fired a 170, Mercer County 191 and Princeville 248. Robby Holtschlag lead the Golden Eagles with a 40. In girls golf, Rockridge and Alleman both shot 213 and Sterling a 239. Ella Rursch lead the Rockets with a 49. In soccer, Macomb shut out Orion-Sherrard 4-0.
