A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, July 14, at New Boston Cemetery. Memorials may be left for Westmer Youth Activities. Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo, is assisting the family.

Jack was born February 28, 1939, in Pace, Mississippi, to James H. and Betty J. Timms Puckett. On March 2, 1961, he married Peggie J. LeHew in Aledo. They were married until she passed on July 20, 2018. He served in the United States Air Force. Jack worked as a pipefitter welder out of Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 25, of which he was a 52-year member. Jack was a true outdoorsman, he loved to golf, camp, hunt, and fish (as long as he was the one catching fish), as well as paint outdoor scenes. He was a talented welder…he helped out friends with welding projects, and created bracelets, sculptures, and belt buckles. Jack was an avid dog trainer, he took great pride in his dogs. His greatest joy was time spent with family, especially his grandkids.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children: Montie (Teresa) Schell, Gene (Heather) Puckett, Rick Puckett, and Monica Ruddy; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and his very good friend: Patty Meminger.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son in infancy: Timothy; son: Joel Puckett; brothers: John, James, and Elmer Puckett; sister: Polly Mathis; and great grandson: Nathan Robertson.
