Judy M. McDuffee, 78 of Eureka, IL, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, Peoria, IL. A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, April 4, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, IL. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 5, at the funeral home. The interment will follow at 3 p.m. at the Viola Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
Judy was born on September 10, 1945, in Rock Island, the daughter of Earl L. and Ethel Horton Bealer. She married Ronald E. Lester, who preceded her in death on September 24, 2009. She later married Ivan J. McDuffee.
Judy worked in retail sales at Walmart and Bergner’s. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, and putting together jigsaw puzzles with her children. Judy also enjoyed playing board games, dancing, and singing. She had a gift and passion for playing the piano by ear; however, above all, Judy loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Ivan; children, Donald (Michelle) Lester, Kimberly (Dwight) Roberts, and Kyle (Maggie) Lester; grandchildren, Drew Lester, Dustin (Danielle) Roberts, Bradley Lester, Dakota Roberts, Alex Lester, Kennedy Jones, Timothy Lester, Madelyn Lester, and Henry Lester; great-grandson, David Roberts; sister, Jeanne Alden; stepchildren, Sally Taylor, Susan Phelps (Jamie), Scott McDuffee, and Shelly Peden (Brian Johnson); and childhood friends, Sue Horton and Nancy Coin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald; stepdaughters, Sheryl Monical and Sandy Clem; and brothers, LeRoy, Dean, Robert, and Kurt.
