A Viola man’s sexual assault case has been continued to this summer. 43-year-old David Lee Richardson was arrested on a warrant in January. He is facing a Class X and Class 1 felony. The charges involve a child under the age of 13. Richardson appeared in Mercer County Circuit Court Monday morning for a pre-trial conference with the matter continued to July 6. The delay was attributed to the defense. Richardson remains in custody on $200,000 bond.
