Aaron Beauchamp
A Matherville man charged in a federal child porn case has requested a change of plea hearing. Aaron Beauchamp’s jury trial scheduled for next Monday has been vacated and instead he will return to U.S. District Court in Rock Island on Friday. He is charged with Sexual Exploitation of a Child—punishable by 15 to 30 years in prison upon conviction. A co-defendant in the case—William Ashby of East Moline is scheduled to stand trial next Monday. The two were originally charged at the state level in Mercer County in March of 2016 for incidents involving a 16-year-old juvenile. Beauchamp and Ashby remain in U.S. Marshals Service custody.
