A Warren County woman has been cited after striking a Mercer County High School driver’s ed car. There were no serious injuries from the Thursday accident on Illinois Route 94, just south of Hawthorn Ridge. According to a Mercer County Sheriff’s Dept. report, a vehicle driven by Christine Bishop of Monmouth was attempting to pass when she struck the driver’s ed car turning left near 55th Avenue. Bishop was cited for driving while license suspended and for operating an uninsured vehicle. Two students and a teacher were in the driver’s ed car.
