The Mercer County Health Department has announced that they have received the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine. The vaccine will be implemented in phases throughout the state of Illinois. Currently, the state is in phase 1A, which makes the vaccine available to healthcare workers if they wish to receive it. This phase may take 4-6 weeks to complete. Once completed, the state will move into the following phase, 1B. More information about who is eligible in phase 1B will be released closer to that time. If you are a healthcare worker and are wanting to receive the vaccine, please call the health department at (309) 582-3759 to schedule an appointment.
