Mercer County reporting its 9th and 10th positive COVID-19 tests. The latest cases involve a female between the ages of 20 and 40 and a female between the ages of 40 and 60, according to the Mercer County Health Department. Statewide, 3,000 new cases of COVID-19 were reported Sunday. More cases come in as Illinois hits its highest daily total for testing. There are now over 61,000 cases in 97-counties. Governor J.B. Pritzker was asked at his daily press briefing how long a potential plateau could last.
There have been 169 negative tests in Mercer County and there have been zero COVID-19 deaths in the county.
