Mercer County should generate over $800,000 in revenue this fiscal year from housing out-of-county prisoners at the Mercer County Jail. An update from Mercer County Sheriff Dusty Terrill.
The county receives $50 per day per inmate for each Cook and Scott County inmate housed at the Mercer County Jail and $65 for each U.S. Marshals Service prisoner. The county’s fiscal year comes to an end on November 30.
