Mercer County (4-3, 1-0 LTC) won its Lincoln Trail Conference Opener (LTC) in girls basketball over Stark County (1-4, 0-1 LTC), 57-36 at home Wednesday.
The Golden Eagles led 16-4 at the end of the first quarter and extended the advantage to 30-14 at halftime.
Molly Hofmann led all scorers with 19 points for Mercer County. Sydney Lamkin was also in double figures for the Golden Eagles with 11 points.
