Another court continuance for a New Boston man charged in a child abuse case. 27 year old Bradley Clark will be back in Mercer County Circuit Court September 17th after making a brief court appearance today. He faces a Class X felony aggravated battery count accusing him of squeezing a three-month old infant and causing the child’s ribs to become broken at the spine. Clark was arrested in May following an investigation by the New Boston Police Department with assistance from the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department and Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. He remains in the Mercer County Jail on $500,000 bond. Clark has made six court appearances since his arrest in late May.
