With the New Year, City of Aledo residents will have a single waste hauler. The Aledo City Council approved a five-year contract with Jackson Disposal on a 5-2 vote last night says Mayor Chris Hagloch.
The contract goes into effect January 1. Aldermen Terry Bewley and Mike Chausse were the two no votes. Residents will be billed $13.82 per month for the service—which includes recycling. The fee will be added to the monthly utility bill.
