Paul J. Lloyd, 72 of Reynolds, died Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Country Manor Memory Care, Davenport, Iowa. Graveside services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, February 11, at the Edgington Cemetery, Edgington, Illinois. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, February 10, at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. Paul John Lloyd was born on June 14, 1950, in Aledo, Illinois to John E. and Mary E. (Bistline) Lloyd. He was previously married to the former Diane Young.
Paul began his working career as a laborer/bricklayer and spent the majority of his working life as a Foreman with Seedorf Masonry, until he retired in 2016. He was a dedicated worker and enjoyed spending time with his work family. In his spare time, he worked too.
In early years, he enjoyed Mopar cars and Muscle car shows. Paul was known for his “Paulisms,” – his notorious one liners.
Paul is survived by his children: Seth (Jackie Hauer) Lloyd and Angie Lloyd; grandchildren: Erik, Abbigale, and Chloe Matlick and Nathanial Paul Lloyd, Jr.; and a sister: Ellen (David) Yancy, as well as numerous, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and children: Nathanial and Michelle.
