The drunk driving case has been continued to next week for Mercer County School District superintendent Scott Petrie. His attorney asked for the continuance this week and the matter has now been set for October 2nd in Scott County District Court. Petrie was arrested by Eldridge Police on July 20th for operating while intoxicated–first offense or OWI. He was also cited for no registration, no insurance and failure to yield—all misdemeanor offenses in Iowa. He entered not guilty pleas to the charges last month.
