Mercer County School District superintendent Scott Petrie has pleaded guilty to a drunk driving charge in Iowa. The guilty plea to OWI 1st Offense was entered this week in Scott County District Court. The charge stemmed from a July 20th traffic stop near Eldridge. As part of sentencing, Petrie was fined $1,250 and placed on one year of unsupervised probation. He was also ordered to complete a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment as well as complete the Iowa Course for Drinking Drivers.
