Petrie Pleads Not Guilty To OWI Charge; Sept. Pre-Trial Scheduled

The Mercer County School District superintendent has entered a not guilty plea in the drunk driving case filed against him in Scott County. A September 25th pre-trial conference has been set for 52 year old Scott Petrie, according to online court records with Scott County. He was arrested by Eldridge Police on July 20th for operating while intoxicated–first offense or OWI. He was also cited for no registration, no insurance and failure to yield—all misdemeanor offenses in Iowa. Petrie attended this month’s Mercer County School Board meeting. His written arraignment and plea of not guilty were entered Tuesday in Scott County Court.
