Princeville (14-10, 5-2 LTC) defeated Mercer County (12-12, 4-4 LTC) in girls basketball Monday, 46-45.
The Golden Eagles trailed 18-7 at the end of the first quarter and 28-21 at halftime. Mercer County then outscored Princeville 13-6 in the third to tie the game at 34 heading to the fourth quarter.
Maddie Hofmann had 13 points in the loss for the Golden Eagles. Gabriella McPeek added 11 points for Mercer County.
