Governor J.B. Pritzker announcing today that all teachers and staff members in Illinois schools and health care workers will be required to get the COVID vaccine.
In a press release this morning, the Illinois Federation of Teachers and Illinois Education Association welcomed Governor Pritzker’s vaccine mandate announcement for educators and school staff. The two labor groups represent approximately 238,000 teachers statewide.
Also today, the Governor announced that masks will once again be required in indoor public settings starting next Monday, regardless of vaccination status.
