Rockridge (14-15, 4-8 TRAC West) took Newman (27-5-1, 10-0 TRAC East) to three sets, but lost the match, 25-23, 19-25, 25-18, at home Wednesday. Ellis Hughes and Tori Ulfig each totaled seven kills for the Rockets. Jess Johns led Newman with 14 kills in the victory.
