Monmouth-Roseville (21-11) beat Rockridge (10-21) for the fourth time this season, 46-30, in the semifinals of the IHSA 2A Macomb girls basketball regional Monday.
The Rockets briefly led, 5-2, early. Monmouth-Roseville then scored five straight points to take a 7-5 lead and didn’t trail again. The Titans led 23-13 at halftime and 32-25 at the end of the third quarter.
Carmyn Huston paced Monmouth-Roseville with 14 points, going 4-5 on three point field goals. Tatianna Talviaa added 13 points and Brianna Woodard chipped in 11 points in the win.
Keaten Needham scored 8 points to lead the Rockets.
The Titans play Canton (24-8) for the regional championship Thursday in Macomb.
