Rockridge started the 2023 season with a 10-1 win over Rock Island Tuesday. Cierra Bush broke the game open in the bottom of the third inning with a grand slam. Bush went 2-2 with 5 RBI in the win. Kendra Lewis allowed one unearned run on four hits in seven innings. Lewis finished with 12 strikeouts.
Rockridge has now won 66 straight games. The IHSA record for consecutive wins is 69, which was set by Casey-Westfield in 1997-98.
