A local flavor will remain on the IHSA Board of Directors. Rockridge High School Principal Katy Hasson, who has served as IHSA Board President since 2019, has won reelection to retain her seat on the board. She spoke about her role with the IHSA last spring during an interview with WRMJ celebrating Title IX.
The IHSA Board of Directors consists of 10 principals and/or athletic administrators elected to three-year terms, plus a non-voting Treasurer who is appointed by the Board. Seven members are elected from geographic divisions, while three members are elected at-large, one from an ethnic minority, one from the underrepresented gender, and one from a private school.
