Routine Traffic Stop In Aledo Leads To Meth Charges Against Monmouth Man

A routine traffic stop in Aledo leads to methamphetamine charges against a Monmouth man. Christopher Goodell was a passenger in the vehicle when it was pulled over for an expired driver’s license on Tuesday. A Mercer County Sheriff’s Department K9 unit alerted deputies to the presence of narcotics in the car and Goodell was charged with possession of meth and possession of firearm ammunition without a FOID card. The driver was issued a citation for not having proof of insurance. Goodell was transported to the Mercer County Jail.
