Beecher (23-0) stormed back to defeat Rockridge (18-4) in a match-up of teams in the IHSA AP 2A top-10 Saturday in Beecher, 62-40.
The Rockets scored the first 11 points of the game and opened the night on a 14-2 run. Beecher answered with a 15-2 run to close the first quarter and led 17-16 at the end of the quarter. Altogether, the Bobcats outscored Rockridge 60-26 after the 14-2 deficit early.
Orlin Nesbitt led Beecher with 17 points. Zack Johnson, 13 points, and Adyn McGinley, 12 points, were also in double figures for the Bobcats.
TJ Wilson scored 14 points for Rockridge in the loss.
