The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department announcing an arrest stemming from a criminal sexual abuse investigation. 68 year old Gary Melton of Seaton was taken into custody yesterday. A sheriff’s department release says the arrest followed a complaint involving a child on October 16th. He has been charged with a Class 4 felony with a preliminary hearing scheduled for October 24th in Mercer County Circuit Court. Melton is being held in the Mercer County Jail on $30,000 bond.
