The Sherrard girls track and field team won its fourth straight Three Rivers Athletic Conference (TRAC) championship Friday.
The Tigers scored 156 points, which was 75.5 points better than the teams that tied for second place at 80.5 points, Princeton and Bureau Valley.
Sherrard won seven events – the 800-meters (Beth Churchill), the 1600-meters (Madison Mathis), the 4×100 (Cami Anderson, Aliza Dominique, Kelsey Doonan), the 4×200 (Anderson, McKenzie Locke, Doonan, Dominique), the 4×400 (Anderson, Churchill, Evelyn Weakley, Dominique), the 4×800 (Churchill, Weakley, Mathis, Anna Churchill), and the pole vault (Dominique).
Mercer County won the Lincoln Trail Conference (LTC) in boys track and field Friday.
The Golden Eagles scored 103 points to finish ahead of Princeville with 85 points, who finished second.
Mercer County had three induvial conference championships – the 800-meters (Trae Clark), the 4×400 (John Baldwin, Zander Huston, Clark, William Fredrickson), and the long jump (Daylen Blaser).
Annawan-Wethersfield took the LTC championship in girls track and field Friday, scoring 112 points. Mercer County finished in second place with 91 points.
The Golden Eagles took first place in four events – the 100-meter hurdles & high jump (Molly Hofmann), 300-meter hurdles (Alayna Mitchell), and the triple jump (Kyla Blaser).
