The Mercer County Board hears over an hour of public comment on the side-by-side issue. It was a split discussion Tuesday night, but local resident Kate Danner hopes there can be an adequate compromise. She says she understands positions on both sides of the argument.
County Board Chairman Josh Frieden says the next step is to try and establish an adequate route to connect all the towns in the county. He also says that the concerns of property owners must be considered. Side-by-side operators will be required to purchase a sticker, but Frieden says a definitive timeline has not been established on that. He spoke with WRMJ following the meeting.
Tuesday night’s meeting was moved from the county board room to the courtroom because of the large crowd.
