An issue involving back taxes and properties in the village of Sherrard TIF district have resulted in over-payment to several taxing bodies, including the Sherrard School District. Mercer County Treasurer Bev Lower briefed the Mercer County Board on the matter last night.
The over-payment accumulated from 2010 to 2014.
