“Something tech” is how Aledo Mayor Chris Hagloch described the future plans for the former Mercer Carnegie Library building. The Aledo City Council approved an up to a $50,000 forgivable TIF loan for W.J. Albertson and Perryton LLC Monday night. Aldermen also approved moving forward with an engineering services agreement evaluating alley reconstruction and utility relocation near another property Albertson owns – the former Hall’s Shoes storefront. Mayor Chris Hagloch spoke with WRMJ after the meeting.
The firm IMEG will conduct the engineering work for the alley reconstruction and utility relocation. The TIF loan for the library building will involve HVAC, roof, and window work.
