Orion (6-0, 1-0 TRAC West) defeated Rockridge (3-3, 0-1 TRAC West) in three sets in the conference opener for both teams in volleyball Tuesday. The Rockets won the first set, 25-23, before the Chargers rallied to win the second and third sets, 25-14, 25-17. Avery Knupp had 13 kills to lead Orion, while Rachel Bowers added 10 kills in the victory.
Sherrard (7-1-1, 1-0 TRAC West) started league play with a straight set win over Morrison (0-6, 0-1 TRAC West), 25-14, 25-18.
