Sherrard and Mercer County had their boys basketball seasons come to an end in the opening round of the Class 2A Mercer County Regional Monday night. The Tigers were upset by the Alleman Pioneers, a team they had beaten during the regular season while the Golden Eagles lost for the second time to Monmouth-Roseville.
