Sherrard (3-2) handed Sterling (5-1) its first loss in softball Wednesday, 9-1.
The Tigers led, 2-1, entering the bottom of the sixth inning before blowing the game open with seven runs in the frame. Nadia Anderson went 2-4 with 4 RBI for Sherrard in the win. Savanah Hauger took the win in the pitchers circle after throwing five shutout innings with six strikeouts.
