National Police Week is May 9-15 and local State Senator Win Stoller is getting involved with a special effort for police officers. He says the idea is to recognize law enforcement for their work protecting the communities where they serve.
You can mail letters, cards or notes for officers to Stoller’s office, 5415 University Street, Peoria, IL 61614. The cards will be collected through May 15 and then forwarded to police departments across the 37th State Senate District, which includes Mercer County.
