Another continuance has been granted for a Viola man awaiting trial on 16 felony counts in a child porn investigation. Illinois Supreme Court rules are not allowing trials at this time due to the ongoing pandemic. 45 year old James Eric Haley will next appear in Mercer County Circuit Court on Nov. 16. He was released on a $500,000 recognizance bond in March.
Haley was arrested last August. The 16-felony counts are in connection with allegations involving a 15-year old girl.
