Author Steve Grasz of Nebraska visited the Mercer County Fair on Friday. He was set up in the Mercer County Historical Society booth displaying his book “Once A Solder, Twice A Pioneer.“ The book details the story of Mercer County native Joshua Hobbs Brown, who was seriously wounded while serving during the Civil War. He would later become Sheriff of Mercer County.
