Local school districts continue to await transportation funding for this fiscal year. That amounts to around $800,000 for the Mercer County School District and they’ve yet to receive any of that from the state says Unit 404 superintendent Scott Petrie.
In terms of geographic boundaries, the Mercer County School District overs an area of 370 square miles making it the fifth largest district in the state.
