One person seriously injured in a one vehicle crash near Aledo. The accident occurred at around 8 a.m. yesterday at 170th Street when the car exited the roadway striking an embankment and tree, according to a Mercer County Sheriff’s Department report. The driver was transported to Genesis Medical Center Aledo and later airlifted to Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island. A passenger was evaluated at the scene by paramedics and released. Both driver and passenger were juveniles and their names have not been released.
