Week 5 of the high school football season got underway Friday night and the Mercer County Golden Eagles got a 28-8 win over Ridgewood on homecoming at George Pratt Memorial Field. Golden Eagles running back Evan Lilly rushed for 196 yards and a touchdown to lead Mercer County. Orion was also victorious in Week 5, as the Chargers knocked off Princeton 28-7 to remain unbeaten on the season. The Rockridge Rockets dropped their second straight game, 42-0 to Newman. Rockridge played without quarterback Riley Fetterer. Sherrard hosted Monmouth-Roseville for homecoming and dropped the game to the Titans 56-28. A complete look at Week 5 action below.
