Cardinal Chrome Plating is adding a new plating line to its business. Tuesday night the Aledo City Council approved a TIF agreement with the owner of the business, Chris Shull. Located in Aledo’s Industrial Park, Cardinal Chrome Plating will utilize a trivalent chrome plating process. This process is a relatively new technique for functional chrome plating which is more environmentally friendly than the traditional hexavalent process used for plating. City Manager Erin Knackstedt explains the agreement.
The TIF amount granted to Cardinal Chrome Plating was $23,125, which is equivalent to the purchase price of the land.
