Aledo Police Chief Chris Sullivan reported to the city council that Aledo’s crime rate has dropped last year.
The council also recognized officer Gary Unsworth who had announced his retirement effective January 8th. Unsworth had been employed in the law enforcement field in Mercer County for 24 years, the last 13 years of which have been as an officer serving the City of Aledo.
