A month long investigation leads to an arson arrest stemming from a New Windsor fire. Desiree D. Millhouse was taken into custody on a warrant in Davis County, Iowa on Thursday. She is awaiting extradition back to Mercer County.
The structure fire occurred July 13 in the 300 Block of South 8th Avenue.
The fire was immediately deemed suspicious by fire and law enforcement personnel on the scene and was officially ruled arson by the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
The New Windsor Police Department and Mercer County Sheriff’s Department were also involved in the investigation.
Millhouse’s bond has been set at $75,000.
