Ashley E. Hasting, 34 of Golden, Illinois passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023, in rural Augusta, Illinois. A Memorial Service for Ashley will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25, at Triplett Funeral Home in Golden. Pastor Mark Hansen will officiate. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the Memorial Service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Lillian’s Education Fund in c/o Patrick Hasting. She was born July 10, 1989, in Peoria, Illinois, a daughter of Mark and Kathleen (Sage) Weeks. She married Patrick Hasting on September 7, 2013, in Hamilton, Illinois.
Ashley was a Nauvoo-Colusa High School graduate. She attended college at Kirkwood Community College in Tipton, Iowa, where she studied sign language. Ashley worked at Creative Edge Daycare as a teacher’s aide, and Prime Design Salon as a receptionist. She enjoyed crocheting, making jewelry, and camping. She especially enjoyed camping at the Old Threshers Reunion, in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, and attending the Blue Grass Festivals in Kahoka, Missouri, where she was crowned the Blue Grass Queen. She was an avid Cubs, Hawkeyes, and Bears fan. Ashley was very outgoing and could talk with anyone.
Ashley is survived by her husband, Patrick Hasting and daughter, Lillian Hasting, both of Golden; mother, Kathleen Scott and her husband, Richard, of Fort Madison, Iowa; father, Mark Weeks and his wife, Sheila, of Jacksonville, Florida; sister, Danielle Jensen of Ft. Madison; stepbrother, Cody Scott of Ft. Madison; grandparents Richard and Linda Sage of Aledo, Illinois, and grandmother, Mary Lou Howe of Aledo; aunts and uncles, Kim and Leo Dyehouse of Crab Orchard, Florida; and Marie and Rick Sage of Normal, Illinois. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Ashley was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Robert Howe and Larry Weeks, and infant daughter, Lillah Hasting.
