Orion broke a 6-6 tie by scoring a run in the top of the seventh inning to defeat Metamora 7-6 in baseball Monday.
The game was knotted 1-1 entering the fourth inning. The Chargers scored five in the top of the fourth and Metamora answered with four runs in the bottom half. The Redbirds eventually tied the game with a run in the bottom of the sixth.
Gavin Awbrey went 1-4 with 2 RBI to lead Orion offensively. Andrew Meiresonne allowed one run over the final three innings in relief.
