A Davenport man arrested following a Crime Stoppers tip in Mercer County earlier this summer has been sentenced to three years in prison. 28 year old Jacob R N Oberlander pleaded guilty to a Class 2 felony of aggravated battery to a peace officer this morning in Mercer County Circuit Court. The charge involved a Mercer County Sheriff’s Deputy in early June. At the time, he was wanted on both Iowa Department of Corrections and Scott County warrants for escape.
